Food Claims Center Venlo (FCCV)
If you want to stay healthy, you have to eat healthy foods. But how do we know which foods are healthy? And how do we overcome cravings for unhealthy foods? The Food Claims Center Venlo focusses on the promotion of healthy eating by researching the effects of food on human health. Furthermore, they research developing innovative, wholesome food products and advancing the promotion of good dietary habits.
At the Centre of Healthy Eating and Food Innovation, they conduct research that primarily targets the general public and focuses on three dimensions that are important for the promotion of healthy eating; the food itself, the individual consumer and the environment of individuals. In most aspects, they also work closely with entrepreneurs and businesses.
The Brightlands Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (BISCI) develops smart and sustainable innovations in supply chain management. Set up by Maastricht University and the Province of Limburg in early 2019, BISCI seeks to apply the latest results of logistics research to address the challenges of service providers in the region and beyond.
In addition, the institute trains the next generation of professionals who can contribute to supply chain innovation in the industry. BISCI derives its strength from closely collaborating with partners in the public, private and community sectors.
