In cooperation with Limburg Leads, Euregio Campus is organising matchmaking sessions on 21 October to bring together highly skilled Dutch and German jobseekers and employers. Are you looking for new employees or your first job after graduation? Then you can register for the free online matchmaking sessions for German and Dutch companies and higher vocational education (HBO/WO) students. The matchmaking session is a 1:1 online conversation between an employer and a student. The employer provides information about the company’s activities and the issues they are facing. Students share their vision and talk about themselves and the subjects within their study.
Matchmaking part of Euregional B2B event Limburg Leads
The matchmaking sessions are part of a broader collaboration between Euregio Campus and Limburg Leads. Together they are organising an event that will take place on 20 and 21 October in MECC Maastricht: The Euregional B2B event that brings together businesses, governments and knowledge institutions, with the aim of meeting each other, multiplying knowledge and doing business.
Limburg Leads welcomes Euregio Campus as a partner this year. Euregio Campus is the cross-border platform that encourages young adults to explore the attractive study and work opportunities in the Euregion Rhine-Meuse-North. This cooperation not only further strengthens Euregional cooperation, but also reinforces the connection between North and South Limburg and the German region of Niederrhein. During Limburg Leads, the two partners will also organise an interesting panel discussion.
Panel discussion ‘Employment branding in the Euregio’
The panel discussion ‘Employment branding in the Euregio. Diversity can complement each other’ is especially for HR managers and entrepreneurs, but also for government and educational institutions. Staff shortages are in all sectors and at all levels, the new crisis has already been mentioned and entrepreneurs are trying to attract and retain staff in all kinds of ways.
Euregional entrepreneurship and talent
“With the cross-border matchmaking and the panel discussion, we want to give an example of how we can cooperate better in Europe in the field of education and business, and how we can reduce the barrier effect of the border,” explains Vincent Pijnenburg, lecturer Cross-border Business Development at Fontys Venlo and member of the Euregio Campus project team.
The North and South of Limburg are knowledge regions with the aim of strengthening cross-border cooperation, attracting and retaining newcomers and integrating them into the Euregional labour market. Exhibition manager Jop Thissen says: ‘We see that many young adults from Dutch Limburg are interested in a career in the border regions, but often do not know how to find the right employers or suitable jobs. It is very clever that Euregio Campus is responding to this with the innovative online platform www.euregiocampus.eu. The events of Euregio Campus during Limburg Leads are a very nice addition to our programme, which has Euregional entrepreneurship and talent as important topics.
